Kinderdrop Inc. (“Kinderdrop”, “We”, “Us”) has created this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) in order to set out how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through the Kinderdrop application (the “App”) and website located at www.Kinderdrop.com (the “Website” and together with the App, the “Services”).
The privacy of our users is of great importance to us. By using our App, visiting our Website or using the Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy and you hereby consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2.1 Daycare Provider Account Information
In order to use certain Services, Daycare Providers must have a valid Kinderdrop account to log into the Kinderdrop platform (“Daycare Provider Account”). Each Daycare Provider must be licensed with the Ontario Ministry of Education and must carry its own insurance coverage. When you register for an account as a Daycare Provider, Kinderdrop collects your account username and password in order to authenticate your account access and provide you with access to the Services. Kinderdrop also collects the insurance information, contact information and any other Personal Information that you may choose to provide for publication on the App and Website, including email and telephone number, address, business information, and various features of the business that the Daycare Provider may choose to publicize. Basic business information of the Daycare Provider that does not constitute personal information, such as business address, email address, and phone number, will be shared with the public.
2.2 Parent Users and Children
Parents and guardians who visit the Website in order to find daycare options for their child(ren) (“Parent Users”) have the option of registering for a free Parent User account (“Parent User Account”) to save and share information on the platform. In order to register for a Parent User Account, you must provide your first and last name, email address, and certain other Personal Information about the child(ren) being signed up for daycare such as their full name, age, profile photo, food restrictions, development level, and any special or medical needs that Daycare Providers may need to be made aware of. This information will not be public; however, it will be shared with daycare providers which the Parent Users contact about availabilities. Parent User Account information will be provided to Daycare Providers on an as-needed basis. Limited Parent User Account information, such as the Parent User’s name and profile picture, may also be visible to other users if the Parent User chooses to leave a review for a Daycare Provider. Kinderdrop will collect and store transaction history data to allow you to view your transaction history.

Parent Users are able to book daycare services directly through the platform (a “Booking”). If you make a Booking, we will collect your credit card information, including billing and shipping address, and share it with our third-party payment processor, in order to process the payment. If you make a purchase through the Website, you agree to our third-party payment processor’s terms of service and privacy policy, currently located at https://stripe.com/ca/legal. Kinderdrop does not retain any credit card or other payment information in the App, Website or Services. Funds paid by Parent Users will be held by Us and paid out to Daycare Providers on a monthly basis.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. We use commercially reasonable efforts to store and maintain your Personal Information in a secure environment. We take technical, contractual, administrative, and physical security steps designed to protect Personal Information that you provide to us. We have implemented procedures designed to limit the dissemination of your Personal Information to only such designated staff as are reasonably necessary to carry out the stated purposes we have communicated to you.
You are also responsible for helping to protect the security of your Personal Information. For instance, never give out your email account information or password for the Services to third parties.

We may from time to time employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share Personal Information with them to provide the Services. Unless we tell you differently, such third parties do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. This includes third party companies and individuals employed by us to facilitate our products and services, including the provision of maintenance services, database management, customer relationship management, web analytics and general improvement of the Services, and businesses who engage our Services (to the extent provided for above). When disclosing Personal Information to third party companies and individuals employed by us in connection with the Services, we take reasonable steps to ensure that they will protect Personal Information while it is in their possession in a similar manner that we would.

We will keep your Personal Information for as long as it remains necessary for the identified purpose or as required by law, which may extend beyond the termination of our relationship with you. If you have an account on the Website or on the App, upon receipt of your express request via email to [email protected], we will immediately delete all personal information related to that account. Nevertheless, we may retain certain data as necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse, or for legitimate business purposes, such as analysis of aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data, account recovery, or if required by law. Users’ Personal Information stored on our servers will be retained for up to 24 months from the date of the User’s last Booking, after which the Personal Information will be deleted. All retained Personal Information will remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
